The accused is a resident of Prayagraj. The police had been searching for him for several days. Additional Superintendent of Police Chakrapani Tripathi said that the arrested accused is Darpan Saroj, alias DP, son of Saidhui Prasad of Holagarh police station in Prayagraj.
Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyang State University was the center of the constable recruitment examination on February 17. In the second shift, Ajay Kumar, son of Ramkishore of Holagarh, Prayagraj, was appearing in the exam in place of Sandeep Kumar, son of Ramdhani Yadav of Sangramgarh, Pratapgarh.
When Ajay was caught, he told me that a deal was made with a person named DP to pass the exam for Rs 5 lakh. A case was registered in Kotwali Karvi under the Fraud and Examination Act.
During the investigation by Inspector-in-Charge Kotwali Karvi Upendra Pratap Singh, the name of Darpan Saroj, alias DP, came up.
